The AISC quality program for construction was developed by Frank Elias, a 55-year Responsible Quality Authority. Frank’s first AISC project was back in 2001 when a Contractor built a steel waste-treatment facility at Eagle-Picher Technologies – the same facility that produced flight batteries for the NASA Gravity Probe B mission.
Frank has mentored AISC Facilitators for over 20 years at no-charge, even on weekends. Frank has supported fabricators and erectors through AISC certification ever since. The procedures and forms in this kit reflect audit findings, corrective actions, and certification cycles accumulated over more than two decades of hands-on AISC work.
