The Heritage Behind the Code
Frank Elias began his quality career in 1969 at Edcliff Instruments. As the Responsible Quality Authority at Eagle-Picher Technologies, he wrote, revised, and signed off on the technical specifications and deliverable products for mission-critical projects, including the Gravity Probe B spacecraft batteries under NASA Contract NAS-8-39225, and scores of similar projects.
In 2003, when NASA mandated a top-to-bottom quality overhaul after Columbia, Frank didn’t just survive the 36-finding SAC audit — he used it as a catalyst to transition the entire quality system from legacy MIL-spec to AS9100. That transition produced eQMS in 2004 and NSF-ISR certification in 2007.
The same discipline that powered spacecraft batteries is the foundation of every line of code in Efficient QMS™. And now it’s available to every business that needs it — at any scale, for any standard.
Originally Built for IA9100 Conformity
eQMS was originally developed in 2004 for AS9100 aerospace compliance and was NSF-ISR certified at Electro Energy/Eagle-Picher Technologies in 2007, who declared the digital quality system the best business practice out of their top 10 list.
Efficient QMS™ is now designed for conformity with IAQG IA9100 — the forthcoming IAQG renumbering of AS9100 — and has expanded its reach to serve any business model.

Every record carries user identity and timestamp at creation. Field-level edit tracking logs who changed what, when, and on which form. Digital signatures are tied to user identity with full evidentiary chain. No record exists without traceability to the person who created or changed it.
User-Expandable QMS — IA9100 Cl. 4.4
Form Maker lets any authorized User design form definitions that generate traceable records. Process Maker lets Users create and upload controlled processes into the document control structure. No developer or vendor required — any authorized User can expand the quality system through normal daily work.
Secure External Access — IA9100 Cl. 8.4
Cryptographic access keys with time-limited expiration, access count limits, and IP logging. An Administrator creates an invitation for a specific document — the recipient accesses only that document. Every access is recorded: who, when, from where, and how many times. Digital typed signatures carry ESIGN/UETA compliance.
Event Management — IA9100 Cl. 7.1.5 / 7.2
Events schedule against specific records with automated email reminders. Calibration due dates, shelf life expirations, audit schedules, training renewals — any date-driven requirement becomes a tracked event with notification. The Calendar displays events by month, User, and Category.
Internal Communication Traceability — IA9100 Cl. 7.4
Memos record who sent it, when, and to whom. Every memo is part of your quality record — not a disposable message. Traceable internal communication is the foundation of the quality culture that IA9100 auditors will assess.
User Authority & Competence — IA9100 Cl. 7.2 / 7.3
Permission flags control who can administer, sign, create forms, and access the system. New accounts require Administrator approval. An orientation system provides proof of onboarding before Users access the full system. Every record traces to an authorized, oriented, approved User.
Standard-Agnostic Architecture
The platform is generic by design. Categories, subcategories, forms, and processes are configured by the User — not hard-coded for one standard. One installation serves ISO 9001, IA9100, AISC, Nadcap, or any standard your Customer requires. Your configuration reflects your business.
