Demo Traceability Work Instruction

Contents of the Comprehensive Traceability Kit (text file)

Notice in the kit contents that two (2) styles of the work instruction are provided. One of them enables conformity with the entire EB Spec 2678 – the other only applies to Appendix A in the Spec. You decide which instruction is right for your project according to procurement requirements.

Please be very aware of the “cost-of-doing-business” according to the EB Spec. Your Company is required to test the chemical and physical properties of Level 1 materials to ensure delivery of fully conforming items. You are subject to at least one set of costly tests to confirm the original material purchase. Then, another set of tests when material properties are altered to achieve final configuration of deliverable items.

Of course, every time material properties are changed, you are obligated to obtain additional material test reports! You see where this is going…? Consider getting a complete list of the stages in your process that alter material properties to enable a comprehensive quotation for costs in your project. We know 10’s of thousands can be expended in material tests with 21st Century lab costs, especially when planned work activities are designed to change those properties.

In the comprehensive traceability kit, we highlight text in red font to make sure our Users are aware of these almost hidden costs for material property tests!
